Global Yarn And Fabric Are Rising Rapidly

Global yarn and fabric production began to recover strongly in the 1 quarter of 2009, and the recovery continued to enter the 3 quarter of 2010.

Compared with the 2 quarter of 2010 and the 3 quarter of last year, global yarn and fabric production both increased.


Yarn production increased in Asia and North America, but yarn production declined in Europe and South America.

In the 3 quarter of 2010, global yarn inventories grew from the previous quarter, although Asian yarn inventories declined slightly.

Compared with the 3 quarter of 2009, global yarn inventories grew, with inventories in South America rising sharply, but stocks in Asia and Europe dropped.


Global fabric inventories declined in the 3 quarter of 2010 compared with the previous quarter, mainly due to reduced inventories in Asia and Europe, but increased in North America and South America.

Yarn orders in Europe and Brazil declined in the 2 quarter of 2010.


Compared with the 3 quarter of 2009, European yarn orders increased while Brazil yarn orders fell sharply.

Brazil fabric orders grew earlier than last quarter while European fabric orders slightly decreased.

Compared with the 3 quarter of last year, yarn orders in Brazil and Europe both increased.


In the 3 quarter of 2010, world yarn production increased by 1.9%.

Among them, North America and Asia increased by 4.5% and 2.4% respectively, while European yarn production decreased (-10.5%) and South American production decreased (-1.2%).

Compared with the same period last year, production in all regions has increased.

The yarn production in South America increased by 14.7%, followed by an increase in Asia (12%), an increase in North America (11.9%) and an increase in Europe (0.9%).


Meanwhile, in the 3 quarter of 2010, global fabric output increased by 1.9%.

European production decreased (-7.2%), North America decreased (-6.5%), but South America increased (6.2%), and Asia increased (2.4%).

Global fabric output increased by 11.2% over the same period last year.

Output in all regions increased.

European fabric production increased by 13.1%, Asian fabric output increased by 11.9%, and South American fabric output increased by 3%.

The deposit increased by 3.5%.

South America increased by 60.5%, and Europe almost no growth (0.1%), but Asia decreased by -0.8%.

From the year-on-year perspective, world yarn inventories increased by 5%, due to an increase in inventory in South America (114.8%), but in Asia and Europe, respectively, a slight decrease (-1.2% and -0.4%).


In the 3 quarter of 2010, global fabric inventories decreased by 2.5%, of which Asia and Europe decreased by -4.9% and -0.6% respectively.

Fabric stocks in North and South America increased by 4.5% and 1.2% respectively.

Compared with the 3 quarter of last year, global fabric inventories increased by 8.4% because of the increase in inventory in all regions.

Especially in South America, fabric inventories surged 42.3%, while Asian, North American and European fabric inventories increased by 3.1%, 2% and 1% respectively.


In the 3 quarter of 2010, yarn orders in Brazil and Europe decreased by -7.6% and -0.8% respectively.

From the year-on-year look, yarn orders in Europe still increased by 2.6%, while Brazil decreased by -24.8%.

Almost unchanged (-0.3%), but Brazil grew by 4.5%.

From the year-on-year perspective, European fabric orders grew by 7.3%, while Brazil remained almost unchanged, with a slight increase of 0.2%.
