Yang Zhaoyu: according to the decision of the State Council on accelerating the development of strategic emerging industries, the new material industry will vigorously develop new functional materials such as rare earth functional materials, high-performance membrane materials, special glass, functional ceramics, semiconductor lighting materials, etc., and actively develop advanced structural materials such as high quality special steel, new alloy materials, engineering plastics, etc., and enhance the development level of high performance fiber and its composite materials such as carbon fiber, aramid, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, and carry out research on common basic materials such as nano scale, superconducting and intelligent.


Most of the new materials developed in these countries are related to the textile industry, which provides great room for development for the textile industry.


CTA: what has been achieved in the development of new materials in China's textile industry?


Yang Zhaoyu: carbon fiber, aramid fiber 1313, polysulfonamide, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, polyphenylene sulfide, and Xuan Wuyan.

High performance fibers, such as bamboo fiber and linen fiber, have been industrialized. They are developing further varieties and expanding their applications. Most of the technologies and products have reached the international advanced level.


Aramid fiber 1414 and new solvent method cellulose fiber have already obtained the pilot test results, filling the domestic blank, and the industrialized production technology is in the research stage.


The synthesis of the new polyester PTT resin has already passed the pilot test, and fiber production and processing and product development have achieved industrial production.


CTA: what are the new achievements in application?


Yang Zhaoyu: the application of domestic geosynthetics in Qinghai Tibet railway construction successfully solved the series of problems such as plateau geological cracks, frozen soil isolation, thermal insulation and seepage prevention.


The environmental protection filter material developed by high performance fibers such as aramid fiber and polyphenylene sulfide can not only increase the interception efficiency of thermal power generation and dust discharge by more than 5 times, but also separate and recover precious rare metals from waste residue and create higher economic benefits.


Lightweight high-strength high-performance composite materials meet the needs of aerospace, new energy and other fields, and gradually replace some traditional steel products in the manufacturing industry, thus promoting low-carbon development.


The disposable medical clothing, respirator and other medical products with high virus isolation precision effectively reduce the probability of cross infection and protect people's lives, health and safety.

Sanitary products such as disposable diapers (trousers), women's sanitary napkins, wipes and wet towels have greatly improved people's quality of life.


CTA: how do you see the status and proportion of new materials R & D in the 12th Five-Year plan?


Yang Zhaoyu: in the next five years, China's textile industry has put forward seven key tasks in the textile industry's scientific and technological progress in the 12th Five-Year "Textile Science and technology development plan". The first three items are all about the development and manufacture of new materials.


CTA: what problems do you think China has in the process of developing new materials?


Yang Zhaoyu: in addition to the textile industry, the development and research of new materials are starting in other industries.

Compared with other strategic emerging industries, the new material industry is relatively scattered and has many sub industries.

In China's industrial development, there is an obvious characteristic: in the same field, there are more duplicate levels and repeated construction.

But the real leading industries are relatively few in technology, and the new material industry is facing such a situation as a whole.

This requires national policy guidance, scientific development and resource optimization to prevent hot money from entering large quantities. This is a systematic project.


In 12th Five-Year, the key task of scientific and technological progress involves the development of new materials.


1, carry out basic research, and strengthen basic theory and cutting-edge technology research in key areas such as fiber material processing, spinning and weaving processing, printing and dyeing, intelligent textiles, clothing home textile culture and textile machinery manufacturing, so as to provide theoretical guidance and source power for the industry's independent innovation.


2, we should strengthen the R & D and innovation of textile fiber materials, develop a number of high-performance organic chemical synthetic fiber engineering materials, reach the international advanced level, vigorously develop super simulation and various functional fibers, use animal, plant, mineral, natural and other biochemical raw materials, develop biological fibers, improve the level of textile recycling economy, focus on solving the contradiction between insufficient supply of natural fiber raw materials, and create conditions for upgrading and sustainable development of textile fabrics and products.


3, strengthen the research and development of new technology and equipment such as new spinning, new weaving, special weaving, wide and heavy weave weaving, and speed up the knitting technology of high quality and molding weaving, warp weft knitted double layer and multi-layer composite weaving, jacquard weaving, the research and application of nonwoven and composite technology; intensify the research and development of printing and dyeing high-efficiency short flow pre-processing technology, water less printing and dyeing technology and functional finishing technology; vigorously develop high value-added textile products such as technical textiles, personalized textiles, functional textiles, green textiles and intelligent textiles, and further enhance the competitiveness of Chinese textile products in the international and domestic markets.
