Tianjin Closes Six Textile And Dyeing Backward Production Enterprises

This year, Tianjin has eliminated backward production capacity as an important measure to speed up the pformation of economic development mode, adjust and optimize the industrial structure, improve the quality and efficiency of economic growth, and build high-end industrial highlands. The reporter was informed by the Municipal Economic and Information Commission.

At present, according to the objectives and tasks assigned by the state, 6 enterprises involved in the elimination of backward production capacity in the industrial sector of the city have shut down backward equipment, demolished the backward production lines, and completed the task of eliminating the state ahead of schedule.

In accordance with the "Notice of the State Council on Further Strengthening the elimination of backward production capacity" and the Ministry of industry and information department's "Circular on the goal of eliminating the backward production capacity of the industrial sector in 2010", by the end of September this year, the iron and steel industry in Tianjin will eliminate 1 million 400 thousand tons of backward iron making capacity, and the building materials industry will eliminate 600 thousand tons of backward cement production capacity.

At present, these 6 enterprises have all closed down.
