American Clothing Retailer Gap Shanghai Flagship Store Opens &Nbsp; &Nbsp; Optimistic About Chinese Market.
Gap said its recent focus was on overseas sales.
Gap has opened a 1140 square meter flagship store in Huaihailu Road, the busiest shopping street in Shanghai. It will open second stores in Shanghai in the coming weeks, and two branches will open in Beijing on Saturday.

Gap launched China's official website www.gap.cn last weekend, hoping to attract Chinese Internet users to shop.
El said: "we initially opened stores in Shanghai and Beijing, but we hope that the sales network can extend to consumers all over the country."
The company's brands include Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic. At present, there is no plan to launch the Old Navy and banana republic in China, and will focus on promoting Gap brand.
