Xu Jian, head of the new material field expert group of the 863 national plan, said that carbon fiber is the weakest in the high-performance fibers listed in the national "12th Five-Year plan". The industry believes that the introduction of standards will help to guide the healthy development of domestic carbon fiber and promote the application.
At present, China's carbon fiber brand continues to use the carbon fiber series of Dongli, Japan, such as T300, T700 and T800, and has yet to establish a series of practical and complete brand names.
Insiders also said that if only a standard is still meaningless, it is necessary to specify the scope of products that can reach certain indicators, and indicate the direction for downstream enterprises.
For example, the requirement for carbon fiber strength is T700, and domestic carbon fiber is limited according to this requirement, but only T300 can be used in practical application.
