Rolex is a famous Swiss watch manufacturer, formerly known as Wilsdorf and Davis, which was jointly run by Hans Wilsdof, a German, and Alfred Davis, an Englishman, in London in 1905. In 1908, Hans Wilsdof registered and renamed ROLEX in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland.

In 1905, he founded his own enterprise, called "Wilsdorfan and Davis", which was mainly responsible for selling watches, but he also developed self-made watches. At 8:00 a.m. on July 2, 1908, the Rolex trademark was officially registered. The first Rolex watches received immediate attention because of their superb technical quality. A small Rolex was awarded the Grade A certificate by the Kew Observatory in 1914, which is the highest rating ever issued by the famous British observatory. Its accuracy has been recognized, which is a world event, and has doubled the value of watches in Europe and the United States. Since then, the quality of Rolex represents accuracy. After World War I, Rolex moved back to Geneva. Driven by its founders, Rolex kept innovating, creating and improving itself. It has two research directions: waterproof and automatic. In 1926, the first waterproof and dustproof watch finally came out, which was the famous Oyster watch. The economic crisis of 1929 hit Switzerland, but Rolex was not affected. During this period, it invented an automatic refining mechanism and created a Perpetual table that became popular later.

This automatic watch has a pendulum, which has never been used in watches before. It has brought a revolution to the clock and watch industry. It is the pioneer of all automatic watches at present. In 1945, Rolex also produced tables with dates and tables that can indicate dates and weeks in 26 languages. Andre J. Heiniger's inspiration and enthusiasm are inseparable from Andre J. Heiniger's ability to carry forward the great Rolex and enjoy a great reputation in today's world watch arena. Heiniger was born in 1921 in Rashadfen. Hans Wilsdorf had full trust and sincere respect for him when he first met him. They both love to contact people and pursue perfection. Wilsdorf invited Heinig to join Rolex in 1948. He worked in Buenos Aires for six years, responsible for developing the South American market. In 1955, he returned to Geneva and was promoted to the board of directors of Rolex. In 1964, he replaced Wilson as the general manager of Rolex. He faithfully inherited the cause of the founder of Rolex, constantly improved quality and technological innovation, and brought a new flavor to the enterprise: internationalization.

The first step of this decision is to move the headquarters of the enterprise from the city center to a beautiful new building in the suburb. Then Heiniger began his expedition, traveling all over the world to explore new markets. He had amazing predictive power and decided to set up branches in major cities on all continents, which was an innovation at that time. Heiniger also set up the Rolex Enterprise Spirit Award, which is awarded every three years to those who have made outstanding contributions to applied science, invention, exploration and research, scientific discovery and environmental protection. At present, Rolex has Patrick Heiniger as its general manager. Patrick Heiniger grew up in Rolex's family and loved the tradition of the enterprise. He served as a lawyer of Rolex for ten years, and was later appointed as a business manager, general manager, etc. The expansion project planned by Rolex World Headquarters since the 1960s was completed in 1995, which is a symbol of creation, innovation and progress for more than 80 years and a symbol matching the enterprise spirit that its leaders attach importance to. All employees of Rolex are working hard for the common goal. Rolex is continuing to carry forward its tradition and continue to represent Geneva and high-quality clocks around the world.
