Introduction to light industry and Textile College:

The school of light industry and textile engineering of Inner Mongolia University of Technology has set up four undergraduate disciplines, including textile engineering, fashion design and engineering, printing engineering, art design (clothing), and a master's degree in textile chemistry and dyeing and finishing engineering.

The Institute has two graduate levels and 900 undergraduate students.

The experimental center of the college has three specialized laboratories, including textile engineering, clothing design and engineering, printing engineering, and more than 20 special workshops. The total value of teaching experiment equipment is about 3000000 yuan.

The garment design and engineering laboratory has undertaken the major work of the professional skill appraisal of the Ministry of labor and social security of the clothing industry in our district, and more than 300 people inside and outside the school have obtained the senior and senior certificate of the national labor department's "costume design custom worker" through this platform.

The Institute now has a national vocational skill appraisal station, a Ministry of labor and social security computer information hi tech examination station.

It is mainly engaged in the training and identification of garment manufacture, customization, and computer aided design.

The institute attaches importance to scientific research, and currently has over 20 scientific research projects in national, autonomous and local projects.

The main research areas include the collaborative design system of textile products and processes, the development and research of remote distributed cashmere products collaborative development system, low temperature dyeing and cashmere fiber decolorization technology under Internet environment.

The majority of teachers devote themselves to scientific research and form a good academic atmosphere for scientific research.

It has gradually formed its own characteristics in the development of wool textile products, the informatization construction of textile industry, and the research of CAD intelligent system for knitting. Some scientific research achievements have brought direct benefits to enterprises. A number of valuable academic papers have been published in national and provincial core journals, and some have been included in EI and ISTP.

Research on digital design and processing of fiber denaturation and cashmere and the reappearance of clothing effect in virtual environment are being developed.

The Institute has actively explored the mode of education combining production, learning and research. It has established a long-term cooperative relationship with more than 10 famous enterprises in Beijing, including the Ordos Cashmere Group, the cavalry group, the Inner Mongolia Tong bull garment and Garment Co., Ltd., the Inner Mongolia party printing factory, and the Jinbei printing company.

I. General Situation of schools

The predecessor of Inner Mongolia University of Technology was the Suiyuan provincial advanced industrial school, founded in 1951.

In 1958, with the help of Tsinghua University and Tianjin University, Inner Mongolia Institute of technology was established.

The school once belonged to the original two machine department, one machine department, agricultural machinery department, machinery industry department, and so on. It was placed in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 1983, and was renamed Inner Mongolia University of Technology in 1993.

The civil engineering speciality of the Institute of architectural engineering is complete. The Institute has 118 faculty members, including 12 professors, 37 associate professors, 61 people with doctorate and master's degrees, and 7 doctorates among young teachers.
