brief introduction
In the Jin Dynasty (AD 1115 - 1234), Emperor Zhang Zong set up a fishing line here, and later he was called "the emperor's Diaoyutai".
In the early years of the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1271 - 1368), the prime minister, Lian Xi Xian, built the villa "Wanliu hall" here, and became a very popular tourist attraction.
After Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, this is a villa with many officials.
In the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Qian Long loved his beautiful scenery and became the palace of the Qing Dynasty. He built Yuyuan, Qinglu, Xiao Bi Xuan, Chengyi Pavilion and Wang Hai Lou.
In 1958, the head of state and government of some countries invited to China to participate in the national day were invited to celebrate the founding of Chongqing 10th anniversary, and the state decided to choose the ancient Diaoyutai scenic spot as the site. The Ministry of foreign affairs was instructed to organize and plan for the construction of the guesthouse in People's Republic of China.
After more than a year's efforts, seventeen reception buildings have been built. In order to respect the habits of foreign countries, the first floor numbers are on the 1st and the thirteen in the layout of the building numbers.
The total area is four hundred and twenty thousand square meters, the total building area is one hundred and sixty-five thousand square meters, of which the lake area is fifty thousand square meters.

Since then, state guesthouses have specially received heads of state, heads of government and world-renowned personalities who have come to China, and have become important places for party and state leaders to engage in foreign affairs.
