The Committee adopted standard EN 14682:2014 as a harmonized standard for universal product safety instructions.

This standard will come into effect in August 24, 2015.

EN 14682 was originally formulated in response to an EU directive. It was promulgated in 2004 and became a coordination standard in 2006.

In 2007, the standard was revised and clearer, but there was no technical change, and became a coordination standard in 2011.

In 2014, the standard was revised again, further clearer and clearer, with some technical modifications, and became a coordination standard in 2015.

EN 14682 covers all children under 14 years of age.

The main technical provisions are as follows:

Removed the requirement for the belt except for the fixed belt and waistband.
