It is less than 40 days since the G20 summit in Hangzhou. Yu Lin has returned from the G20 propaganda and volunteer recruitment work in Russia.

"When G20 is held in Hangzhou, many heads of state and important business teams will come.

Zhejiang

It is a very good opportunity for Zhejiang enterprises to go out and introduce technology and talents to enhance our popularity. "

As chairman of the Russian Association for the promotion of peaceful reunification of China and President of the Federation of Russian overseas Chinese, Yu Anlin had planned to make a contribution to the summit when he learned the news.

"We have launched propaganda in Russia, and also look for some outstanding overseas Chinese children to volunteer as well as to serve the reception of the Russian team."

This seemingly time-consuming and laborious work is easy and enjoyable for Yu Anlin.

The Wenzhou businessman, who has been more than 50 years old, has been in Russia for nearly 20 years. He has accumulated a lot of connections and resources, experienced instability in other countries and suffered great losses, but he has worked hand in hand with local Zhejiang businessmen and Chinese businessmen.

"In Zhejiang Province in 90s, there were only about 30 people in Zhejiang Province, and now there are more than thirty thousand people."

Yu Anlin told reporters, "in the past two years, Russia's small commodity market is the world of Zhejiang merchants. The sale accounts for about 75%, that is to say, the list of 100 yuan, we can receive 75 yuan."

In the 80s and 90s of last century, when a large number of Wenzhou people began to go abroad with their bare hands, Yu Anlin made a thrived business of clothing and auto parts business in China and did not want to go abroad to start a business.

Until 1998.

"I went to Russia to see that there were many business opportunities there."

Yu Anlin recalled, "some small commodities that are particularly cheap to Wenzhou, such as clothing, shoes and hats, have doubled several times in Russia. I think such a situation would be ideal no matter what business to do there."

Yu Lin's bold judgement is based on his exploration and understanding of Russia's local economy.

He told reporters that unlike other European countries, Russia's light industry was "almost nothing" at that time.

"Russia is a resource-based country, rich in oil and natural gas, and highly developed in military industry and heavy industry, but small commodities are 100% dependent on imports."

So, after several days of investigation, Yu An Lin made a decision, immediately returned to the domestic organization of footwear products to Moscow for sale.

When he first engaged in international trade and language barrier, especially the exchange rate fluctuation of international currency, Yu's first business was worrying him.

"At that time, after 98 years of economic crisis, the ruble depreciated sharply, but the goods had been sold in the past, even though there was not much profit.

I predict that the situation will be better in the future.

Yu Anlin said he had steadfast confidence in continuing to stay in Moscow.

In 1999, Yu An Lin set up his first in Moscow.

Shoe and hat company

In 2000, a shoe and hat company was set up in Ukraine; in 2001, he launched a heating and building materials business in Moscow.

"Russia's scale is bigger, and I have more time abroad. The shares of domestic companies have gradually been abandoned and pferred to other shareholders."

To this day, Yu Anlin told reporters that he was working hard in Russia.

Zhejiang businessmen

It has grown from around 30 people in the last century to 3 in 90s. The number of enterprises in Zhejiang has exceeded 100, and shoes and caps are the main products.

It takes 8 hours to fly from Beijing to Moscow, and this route is familiar with Yu An Lin.

"Originally 9 months in a year, 3 months in the country; now almost 8 months in the country, 4 months in Russia."

The change of Yu An Lin stems from his pformation of identity: from a pure businessman to an overseas Chinese leader in Russia.

This also means that he needs to shoulder more responsibilities, unite in Russia and Zhejiang businessmen, and work hand in hand with everyone to tide over the difficulties.

Yu Anlin told a story to reporters.

"2008 is the most difficult year for Chinese in Russia. Russia launched the largest scale attack on" grey customs clearance "against Chinese businessmen. The goods up to US $1 billion 500 million were seized.

According to the reporter, "grey customs clearance" is a trade custom formed in Russia for many years. It means that importers or importers can make customs declaration by importing goods with customs officers in a non-public agreement, with low reporting value, less reporting weight and concealed name of goods (i.e., providing low tariff code), so that bulk cargo is significantly lower than the national legal import tax payable.

More difficult is that in 2009, the 40 thousand Chinese stalls in an "ant market" were shut down.

"So many Zhejiang businessmen do not know where to go."

Yu Anlin recalled that later, he led the search for another market to pfer the stalls of Zhejiang businessmen to the past.

"There are only 4000 booths in total, leaving 1 of the 56 stalls of my company, and the rest of the original price is leased to Zhejiang people."

Yu Lin was the chairman of the local federation of overseas Chinese in Zhejiang.

"Before Zhejiang had 9 fellow townships in Russia, we established a general assembly to unite Moscow and other cities, such as Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, to form a rope.

If we encounter problems, we will solve them together.

In 2011, the Russian Federation of overseas Chinese and the Russian Association for the promotion of peaceful reunification held a general election and re registered in accordance with the law.

The "two sessions" is a group of overseas Chinese groups in the whole Russian area formed on the basis of the joint organization and reorganization of many overseas Chinese organizations.

According to Yu Anlin, at present, the "two sessions" already have 56 societies, with branches in St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Siberia, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and other large Russian cities, with a total membership of about 50000 people.
