The PaCT study of international financial institutions shows that Bangladesh can save 22 billion litres of water a year, reduce 18 billion litres of sewage and 46 thousand tons of greenhouse gas emissions.

The agency will set up a $200 million fund to help Bangladesh textile mills, dyestuff factories and laundry factories to finance the installation of environmental protection production equipment.

The clothing manufacturers and Exporters Association said that Bangladesh now has 85 LEED (energy and environmental design leaders) certified green clothing enterprises, of which 23 are rated platinum and 6 are among the best in the world.
