In from October 15th to 18th, the Fifth Symposium on "Chu Feng Han Yun" - the Chinese Heritage Society's textile heritage Specialized Committee was held in Changsha in from October 15th to 18th. Participants from more than 70 institutions, universities and enterprises, and textile and apparel experts and scholars attended the seminar on "Research on textile technology unearthed from Chu tomb", "Research on traditional crafts of silk fabrics" and so on, and explored the techniques and techniques of clothing and protection in Mawangdui.

Nearly 20 experts and scholars reported their respective research topics at the meeting. Yang Junchang, a researcher at Northwestern Polytechnical University, has systematically analyzed and studied the production process of the "twisted gold thread" in the Tang Dynasty by combining modern technology and traditional craft investigation, so as to provide scientific evidence and technical support for the protection and utilization of cultural relics along the Silk Road along different regions and different countries, and on the exchange and integration of Archaeology and culture. Wang Jisheng, an archaeological Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, focused on the systematic analysis and research of weaving technology and garment making of Mawangdui Han tomb in the Han Dynasty through experimental archaeological methods. Yang Jiyuan, Nanjing cloud brocade Institute, takes 6 silk relics in Mawangdui's Han tomb as an example to share the difficult problems and valuable experience gained in the process of imitation.

This symposium combed and summarized the research results of ancient textile relics in China, especially the textile and clothing in Chu Han period. It also pointed out the direction for future research and exploration, and provided a new way of thinking for the research and imitation of Mawangdui Han tombs unearthed.
