According to the National Bureau of statistics, in October, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 6.9% year-on-year, which was the same as that in September. In October, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 0.78% over the previous month. From January to October, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 1.8% year on year.

In October, the manufacturing industry grew by 7.5% and fell by 0.1%. In terms of economic types, in October, the added value of state-owned holding enterprises increased by 5.4%, joint-stock enterprises by 6.9%, foreign-invested enterprises by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan by 7.0%, and private enterprises by 8.2%. In terms of industries, in October, 34 out of 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth in added value. The textile industry increased by 9.5%, and the manufacturing of chemical raw materials and chemical products increased by 8.8%. By region, in October, the added value of the eastern region increased by 7.6%, the central region by 7.0%, the western region by 6.1%, and the northeast by 5.9%. In terms of products, 427 of 612 products increased year on year in October.
