Jiangxi Builds An International Exchange And Cooperation Platform To Help Textile And Garment Enterprises Expand Overseas Markets
"Three matchmaking meetings will be held at this Expo, aiming to build an order matchmaking platform between enterprises and overseas exhibitors and domestic supply chain enterprises." At the press conference of the 2023 Jiangxi Textile and Clothing Week and the 4th Jiangxi (Ganzhou) Textile and Clothing Industry Expo held on the 13th, Du Feifei, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Ganzhou Municipal Committee and vice mayor of Ganzhou, Jiangxi, said.

This textile and clothing week and clothing expo will be held from December 23 to 26 in Yudu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, the "famous Chinese brand clothing manufacturing city". At present, 180 enterprises have signed up for the exhibition. The types of exhibitors include R&D design, production and manufacturing, brand marketing, industrial promotion, etc. The exhibits cover the whole textile and clothing industry chain.
In order to help Jiangxi textile and clothing enterprises explore overseas markets, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Jiangxi Provincial Committee will take the lead in hosting the 2023 Jiangxi Textile and Clothing International Direct Sourcing Matchmaking Fair during the Fair, so that the exhibitors can effectively connect with buyers from all countries.
Zhu Xiaoyan, vice president of CCPIT Jiangxi Council, said that at present, 36 professional overseas purchasers from 22 countries, including the United States, Spain, Australia, Uzbekistan and Peru, have been invited to participate in the direct procurement matchmaking meeting to help enterprises expand overseas sales channels.
In addition, CCPIT Jiangxi Council also invited the heads of five overseas foreign trade associations, including the Australian Fashion Council, the Turkish Garment Manufacturers Association, and the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Russia, to participate in the meeting, and promoted the clothing industry branch of Jiangxi International Chamber of Commerce to establish strategic cooperation relations with relevant overseas clothing industry associations.
Jiangxi, a province in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, has a long history of planting ramie, which has lasted for more than 4000 years. In the Ming Dynasty of China, there was a ballad in Jiangxi that "cotton cloth can be found in every inch of land, and weaving machines can be found in every ten rooms". Today, textile and clothing is a traditional competitive industry and an important livelihood industry in Jiangxi.
In order to enhance the international popularity of Jiangxi's textile and clothing industry, Jiangxi has continuously held a series of activities such as Jiangxi Textile and Clothing Week, Jiangxi International Hemp Textile Expo, and Gongqing City Down Garment Week. Through a series of activities, Jiangxi has built an international exchange and cooperation platform for textile and clothing enterprises to smooth the supply chain and extend the industrial chain.
Yang Jin'e, the second level inspector of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, revealed that in 2022, there will be 1567 enterprises above designated size in Jiangxi textile and clothing industry, realizing an operating income of 172.5 billion yuan and an actual export of 6.54 billion dollars.
The Compilation of Jiangxi Observation Report (2023) Research Achievements issued by the Jiangxi Federation of Social Sciences Circles suggests that Jiangxi should encourage large textile and clothing enterprises to establish marketing networks abroad, enhance the competitiveness of brands in the international market, promote the internationalization of independent brands, and enhance the international operation capability of local enterprise brands.
