Introduction to school of fashion and art design

The school of clothing and art design is the most distinctive and widely influential school in Zhejiang engineering college. There are 4 departments of fashion design, clothing engineering, art design, animation and advertising, and 1 departments of basic art. They are professional and professional directions in clothing design and engineering, art design (fashion design, decoration art design, environmental art design, dyeing and weaving art design, fashion show and marketing), advertising, animation, and so on.

There are 8 professional teaching and research rooms; there are 5 comprehensive laboratories in clothing, design art, CAD center, animation, advertising and photography. There are 6 research institutes, such as clothing, clothing engineering, decoration and environmental art, Oriental dyeing art, clothing and decorative fabric, and a CAD research center.

In 1979, our institute set up a speciality of silk art and variety design. In 1982, we started the clothing industry. In 1984, we established the Department of clothing, with the major of garment design, textile design and dyeing and weaving design.

In 1993, the clothing branch was approved by the Ministry of textiles, and changed to dress and art design school in 1999.

Over the years, our college has been adhering to the combination of teaching and production practice, combining art teaching with engineering teaching, combining creative design teaching with product design teaching, emphasizing the cultivation of students' creativity and adaptability, forming their own distinctive characteristics, and teaching, scientific research and design achievements.

Some teaching achievements have been awarded by the Ministry of textile industry, Zhejiang province and the Ministry of education.

2001

The teaching reform project was awarded the two prize of the Ministry of education's teaching achievement.

Costume design and engineering, design art two disciplines have master's degree awarding power, clothing design and engineering discipline is a key discipline in Zhejiang Province, design art discipline is a key subject in Zhejiang Province, garment design and engineering and art design specialty is Zhejiang province key construction professional.

Many teachers have been named the ten famous designers in the country, the top ten designers in China and the top ten designers in China.

Some teachers' works have been highly praised by Party and state leaders such as Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Li Lanqing.

The teachers and students won more than 200 people in the national and international design competitions, including 40 gold awards.

Such as the "new person Award", "China Cup", "Dalian Cup" and "brothers Cup" of the national costume design competition, all the students in our school have won gold medals.

The national costume design competition organized by the China Fashion Designers Association has held 7 national costume design competitions. The winners of our college won the first prize in the national fashion academy and won the first prize many times.

In November 1998, the school was selected as the famous fashion Institute in the country.

Students majoring in fashion show and marketing also win prizes in competitions at home and abroad. Since 1999, more than 10 students majoring in fashion show and marketing have won awards in national competitions.

In 1999, 1 students won the national model contest second and 3 students won the top ten models in the country. In 2000, 3 students won the "Ford Cup" gold medal in the international fashion model trials, 1 students won the gold medal in the national model competition. In 2001, the national model TV competition, 1 students in our academy won the top ten models, and 1 students won the excellent models.
