The World'S Top Footwear Buyer Adopts PLM System.
Dassault Syst MES announced recently that half of the world's top clothing and footwear brands participating in the 2010 international apparel sourcing summit have adopted Dassault's PLM (product life cycle management) solution.
In recent years, the application of PLM solutions in the global garment industry has become a common practice.
More and more innovative companies begin to adopt PLM solutions to manage the market trend efficiently, hoping to enhance their competitiveness and success rate in the market.
The latest report from AMRResearch, an authoritative market research firm, on the main technological trends of the clothing market, shows that 68% of the garment companies surveyed are planning to launch new products or new products to achieve their growth goals, while 42% of the clothing companies are seeking to enter the global market and expand business opportunities.
The report points out that clothing and footwear companies must consider adopting integrated PLM applications to "improve the accuracy and efficiency of new product planning, and gradually expand the scope of suppliers with the help of the management platform built by PLM, and promote their diversification. At the same time, visualization and analysis techniques are integrated into the management system of product diversification portfolio."
